STILLWATER, Okla. – The 2017 Oklahoma State University livestock judging team are set to compete on Feb. 3, 2017 in a contest at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
The OSU livestock judging team consists of 21 juniors and seniors who will be traveling to the FWSSR to compete against teams from all over the country for another national title. The team has just returned from the National Western Stock show in Denver, Colo., where they finished fourth.
“This was the first time in my coaching career that I have lost Denver,” said Blake Bloomberg, OSU livestock judging team head coach. “But I think that this loss can only make us stronger, especially come this fall.”
Bloomberg has been very successful as the OSU livestock judging team head coach. He has recruited members from all over the country to be on the team. The team is hopeful the contest in Fort Worth will be their turning point for this year.
The OSU livestock judging team members have been successfully represented since 1925, where members claimed their first victory at the International Livestock Show in Chicago. OSU has won over 15 national championships, which is more than any other team in the country. To learn more about the OSU livestock judging team, visit www.ansi.okstate.edu/judging-teams/livestock.
